Tabletop & COMPACT DESIGN

All Qinu cryostats come in a tabletop layout configuration: the experimental space is on top of all the cryogenic interior. This unconventional layout enables a direct installation of the cryostat on a simple table, simplifying experimental handling and making daily operation very convenient.

Despite its compact size, the Version L offers a large experimental volume at base temperature. Its bigger brother, the Version XL, provides even more experimental space.

Extremely FAst TurnaRound

The Version L is designed in a compact and economical way. Its minimized thermal mass together with an elaborated precooling cycle result in extremely fast cooldown times of about three hours, from room temperature to less than 10 mK base temperature. In combination with a total warming-up time of about one hour, the Version L enables extremely fast turnarounds of samples.

In addition, the Version L is very economical with respect to the required amount of liquid 4He and 3He, as well as overall power consumption.

Modular design

Qinu cryostats exhibit a modular design enabling the installation of different components such as low frequency and RF wiring, passive RF devices, optical fibers and windows. More information can be found in our „Equipment“ brochure.

The higher temperature stages from room temperature to mixing chamber offer a large and easily accessible space, allowing for simple installation and thermalization of additional experimental equipment.
